What is a Brownway?

A Brownway is the term given a walking and cycling track across a bog. It is similar in specification to a Greenway but markets the bog landscape of which it transverses.

This proposed walking and cycling route would connect the town of Portarlington to Monasterven.

Wondering what is the current hoped-for opening date ( or at least substantial opening) for the Southeast Greenway, please?
Looking forward to cycling the route, but it seems to be dragging on forever.

    Thanks

You’ll have to wait a little longer. Things are moving foward but at a snails pace.
