A second section of the South Kerry Greenway is set to officially open on Thursday, 2nd April, just in time for the Easter break — giving walkers and cyclists another stretch to explore along this developing route.
This newly completed 4.2km section runs from Curra Road in Glenbeigh to Mountain Stage, offering a smooth, fully surfaced path suitable for all ages and abilities. Whether you’re out for a relaxed stroll or a family cycle, this section provides an accessible and enjoyable experience.
One of the standout features of this stretch is the beautiful woodland corridor along Curra Hill, where users can enjoy a peaceful, sheltered route surrounded by nature. As the trail opens up, it rewards visitors with stunning views of the Coolroe and Beenreagh mountain peaks, showcasing the rugged beauty that makes Kerry so special.
This latest opening marks another important step forward in the development of the South Kerry Greenway, which continues to grow into one of Ireland’s most anticipated greenway projects.
👉 Planning a visit this Easter? This new section is well worth adding to your list.
