Barrow Valley Greenway
The proposed Barrow Valley Greenway would run along an old railway line from Bagnelstown in Co Carlow to Palace East in Wexford. The route is 38km and would pass through:
- Bagnelstown
- Leighlinbridge
- Borris
- New Ross
- Palace East
Feasibility Study
The Greenway project received a grant from the Irish Government of €150,000 for a feasibility study for the 38Km route to explore:
- Concept and Feasibility,
- Project Execution Plan,
- Project Appraisal Plan
- Project Brief
The Borris Viaduct
The 19th. century Borris Viaduct, with it’s 16 arches is 60ft high. it was completed in the year 1860 and was designed by William Le Fanu and built by M. Talbot.
